So the last few days have been a bit crazy. They started with temperatures hovering around 100 degrees. #SoHotItsHardToBreathe #PleaseIgnoreTheDustOnTheSpeedometer
Then we had a crazy-came-out-of-nowhere storm that wreaked random havoc. Thankfully our house came out unhurt, but power lines were on the storm’s path of destruction. We were out of power for 12 hours. It could have been MUCH worse as some of our neighbors just a few streets over are STILL without power 2 1/2 days later. But still… here is the food from my fridge that didn’t make it. #39Eggs
AND… after all that craziness, we had a great event happen on Sunday. It was The Oaks Community Church’s LAST service at our current location, Faith United. This has been a great building that has served us well for the past 2 1/2 years. Our church has gone through a lot of change in the past 5 years and we just moved into our 4th new space – the Middletown Senior Center. It will be bigger and air conditioned (see #1) and so nice! We are thrilled. I’m so thankful that God has been faithful to The Oaks and will continue to be. Here’s my man preaching our last sermon there. #New Beginnings
