Sojourn’s Women’s Conference

This past weekend I went to a Women’s Conference at a church down in Louisville with some women from The Oaks. Sojourn is an amazing gospel centered church that we have learned so much from and it was really neat to be able to be a part of this conference.

Elyse Fitzpatrick is an author who spoke that day. She has written numerous books such as

Because He Loves Me: How Christ Transforms Our Daily Life

Because He Loves Me (Paperback Edition): How Christ Transforms Our Daily Life

Counsel from The Cross: Connecting Broken People to the Love of Christ

Counsel from the Cross: Connecting Broken People to the Love of Christ

A Steadfast Love: Experiencing God’s Comforts in Life’s Storms (I just bought this one!!)

A Steadfast Heart: Experiencing God's Comfort in Life's Storms [With CD]Give The Grace: Dazzling Your Kids with the Love of Jesus

Give Them Grace: Dazzling Your Kids with the Love of Jesus

On Saturday she talked about the gospel and how it transforms community. She charged us to love our sisters well, keeping and protecting them as God keeps us. She spurred us on towards transparency, being real with our sin and being reckless with love and forgiveness towards one another.

It was really great to spend the day with friends and be able to hash through some of this material. I am excited for what God will stir up and do through these conversations. Be in prayer for the continued community of women in The Oaks and above all else that Jesus would be glorified!
