Things I Love About Steph – #7 How She Loves Jesus

Everything I’ve written the past week can be encompassed in this: Steph loves Jesus deeply. She treasures Him. She follows Him. She knows He is Lord of her life. She seeks to run near the cross daily. She drinks deep of the well of his grace. Steph wants every aspect of her life to glorify Jesus.

And it shows.

Steph your life and love is such a picture of the love of Jesus Christ. Thank you for being a witness to me, all of us at The Oaks and to so many others. We will miss you, Kevin, Anna and Owen. Thank you for fighting the good fight of the faith. We will be praying for you as you move today and as you follow God’s call to Louisville. I love you friend!

Bittersweet describes Kevin and Steph’s move today perfectly. We are sad that they will no longer be living 10 minutes away but are so THRILLED to see them step out of their comfort zone and follow Jesus into the unknown.

As Kevin preached on Sunday – this is a model for us. Where can we step out into the uncomfortable and get on mission? Is it in sacrificing time on the couch to hang out with a nonbeliever? Is it to finally have a conversation you know will be awkward? What is it in your life?

I hope that as the Jamison family is sent out on mission we can follow their lead. I pray that we as The Oaks family will love Jesus and love others. Go out of your comfort zone this week. Share the gospel. Make a meal. Call a friend. Get uncomfortable and do something!
