Today we celebrate Hope. 2,000 years ago the man Jesus Christ raised from the dead. The tomb is empty! Even death could not hold Him down.
Jesus’ resurrection is the reason that we can have a living hope– because the One whom we hope in lives! Jesus is alive today and sitting at the right hand of the Father.
Brothers and sisters, I don’t know what you’re going through. But even when we feel we’re drowning in storms of darkness, this is why we can persevere. Even when our hopes of earthly joys are dashed to pieces, we can trust that our hope in Jesus is not a wish, but confident expectation. What He has promised He WILL do. If we’ve put our hope in Jesus one day he WILL wipe every tear from our eyes, He WILL give us everlasting joy and peace and He WILL be with us forever.
Let that comfort our hurting hearts this Easter.
